2. Overview of processing
We process personal data you provide via the contact form or by email / phone (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, message content), as well as technically necessary data when you visit the website (server log files, where processed by the hosting provider).
Purposes: handling enquiries about our recruitment services, pre-contractual communication and — where necessary — initiating business relationships with mid-sized companies in German-speaking countries.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA (“Vercel”). When you visit the website, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, timestamps, requested resources) is processed on Vercel’s servers. Data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel uses appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (including Standard Contractual Clauses).
Further information: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, fast and stable provision of the website).
4. Contact form and email contact
If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by email, your details (including the contact data you provide) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to unrelated third parties without your consent.
Legal bases:
• Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if the enquiry relates to initiating or performing a contract
• Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in effectively handling enquiries)
• Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR where consent has been given
For technical transmission of the contact form we use Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA). Form data is transmitted to Formspree and forwarded by email to us (info@afrika-consult.com). Data may be transferred to the USA. Details: https://formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy/
The data remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent or the purpose of storage ceases to apply (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully handled). Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits. This may include browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. These data are not merged by us with other data sources.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in technical provision and security of the website).
6. Cookies and tracking
In the default configuration this website does not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. Where technically necessary cookies or comparable storage is set by the hosting provider, this is solely for providing and securing the service.
7. Your rights
Within the framework of applicable law you have the right at any time to:
• Access your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
• Withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
For this and other questions on data protection you can contact us at any time: info@afrika-consult.com
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For Austria this includes the Austrian Data Protection Authority (https://www.dsb.gv.at/). For data subjects in Germany, the state data protection authority for your place of residence is competent.
8. Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period has been stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to apply. If you assert a legitimate erasure request or revoke consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storage (e.g. tax or commercial retention obligations); in that case deletion takes place after those reasons cease to apply.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content (e.g. enquiries via the contact form), this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of the browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and, where applicable, by a padlock symbol.
10. Updates
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
